Work last summer
This summer I went back home to Iceland and in the beginning of the summer I went to the architect company my dad works for and pitched a new idea for their website that I’d been working on last spring in Web 2. The main concept was to make their opening page more lively since it was just a static page with all of their projects that hadn’t been updated in couple of years and then to make their project page more easily to look at and get to their projects. This is the final version of the webpage I did in Web 2 and pitched for the company. Click Here to see it.
And Click Here to see their actual website that is live right now. They didn’t want to change the header and navigation the way I pitched it and wanted to keep some of the old look on the side. The most challenging part of this project was to code it in through WordPress since it was my first time doing it, but it went well in the end. I also did a new staff page for them since they had just got new profile photos taken of them.
Inspirations
I get inspirations from this and that when it comes to design and I wanted to tell you guys about this one guy I saw on Instagram this summer and since then I´ve been following him and his work. His name is Markus Magnusson, he often goes by the name Motion Markus and he´s from Sweden. Like the nickname tells you, he does motion pieces and is really good at it. This semester I´m taking Motion Graphics 2 and I´m hoping I can learn a bit more about character animation. Check out his work!

This semester
What´s up guys,
Just to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is David Steinn Sigurdarson and I’m from Iceland. I moved to San Francisco in 2015 to attend the school and play college soccer, so this is my 3rd year at the AAU. I’m majoring in Web and New Media Design and I’m really into the courses and what we’re learning. This will be my first time taking 5 classes so it will definitely be tough semester but hopefully an enjoyable one as well. So just good luck everyone this semester!
